I love history!

Here is some interesting facts about our founding father. First, everyone that had a large farm was required to grow pot. NOT for smoking but because we needed HEMP for ropes. Ropes are needed for a good navy just like ENGINEERS are needed for a good army. The lack of both set the revolution back years. Thomas Jefferson felt it so important to grow hemp that he left written instructions on how the plants should be cultivated.

Some of my pot smoking (and apparently growing) friends have pointed out that his instructions will make for lots of leaves but little hemp. I wouldn't know because I prefer the don't ask don't tell policy when it comes to drugs.

Another, more interesting historical fact is that George Washington had a still. While I prefer a good Scotch whiskey I think I would still like to try his recipe for Rye.
